Hi,

My WD External 1 TB HDD does not get detected. Upon connecting the disk and opening WD Smartware, I get asked for a password to unlock the disk. Then I see that the disk does not have any writable WD smartware partition. In Disk Management, when I click on this disk, I see the message Data Error Cyclic Redundancy Check. 

Can anyone please help me re format this disk?
