WD Elements 3TB - Not recognised on XP PC

Hi - I have a year-old WD Elements 3TB external disk. It has been functioning perfectly on my XP PC but now it is not… :sweat:

When I connect it up, the light on the front goes solid but does not flicker (as it used to). Also, it does not show up in my Windows Explorer screen…

I have lots of important things on there, including bank statements (which would make it unwise to give to a third party to fix!).

Any assistance/advice would be greatly appreciated! :slight_smile:

Hello, have you tried connecting the drive to a different computer? Have you tried connecting the drive using a different USB cable?
