WD Elements 1TB Hard Drive just beeped once?

Hi, my WD Elements 1TB hard drive has just made a beeping sound, just the one, it still seems to be working fine but i’ve had a WD drive fail on me before so just want to make sure this is normal (thinking back i’m pretty sure i’ve heard it beep before but thought it was my computer but this time i am sure it was the hard drive).

I’ve been looking for answers on here and through google but nothing for just 1 beep, can anyone help?

Hello, always save important files in more than one location. You can try running a test with DLG to see if the Elements has any problems. Check the link below for the steps.

Thanks for the reply, i’ll do the tests but do you have any idea why it would just beep once? have you heard of this before?
