Bought a 1TB WB Elements 2 years ago and just plugged in with no questions and did automatic back-up. Since then when I plug it in, it shows up on “My Computor” and seems to be working, but once I look at the documents and files, no new documents appear. NOTE: When I plug in WD Elements, I am asked no questions. Is there a download I am missing or am I not going about correctly.

No hard drive in existence “automatically” backs up your computer. You had to have installed software on your PC to do it.
