Have a Windows 10 Computer with several users. Wanted to re-install Windows 10 and tried to make backup with WD Backup (MyPassport 2 TB). When making the Backup the Default Folder selection was just my user data (“Sebastian”), but I marked also all other users and also some program Folders. After that I run the backup and when it was completed I re-installed Windows completely (incl. Option “deleting of personal data”). After re-installing I wanted to backup all user Folders again, but I can find only mine (“Sebastian”). I think I have not considered the different user Rights acccordingly and now the data of all other Family members are lost. Maybe I should have checked more carfully but since I could choose all other users thought ist fine. Whats your opinion - are data of other users really lost or is there something that can be done? For the future - do I Need to run the WD Backup for each user separately?
It is required to backup all other user’s data manually if have more than one user in your computer. And after completing the backup, you can confirm about all backed up files in WDBackup.swstor folder.
