Alright, I bought a new Alienware M17XR4 and any WD hard drive I plug into it just perpetually connects for about 30 seconds then disconnects but if I use my crappy company issued Dell netbook they work fine…any ideas on what it might be?
Hi, it could be that the Alienware laptop is not providing enough energy to the Passport, have you tried connecting the passport with the laptop power cable connected or using another USB port?
