The BIG issue I’m getting with the WD Elements 2TB USB 3.0 is the poor transfer speed from a laptop & a PC to the hard drive via a USB 3.0 port.
From a Windows-7 laptop or PC to the hard drive via a USB 3.0 port is a very very slow 25MB/second dropping very quickly to around 14MB/second 11MB/second whereas the transfer speed from the hard drive to the same Windows-7 laptop or PC via the USB 3.0 port is a credible 86MB/second 71MB/second, 106MB/second 96MB/second.
Sad days given that it’s an issue I have with all 3 WD Elements 2TB hard drives, one that Western Digital seems unable to address with a fix or an explanation as to the “Why?”
