Strange noise in the 4TB drive ... help!

Hello,

Last night the My Passport 4TB external portable drive connected to my Mac Mini failed to show up. I plugged it into my laptop, a MacBook Pro and heard strange screeching noise coming from it.

Spent all morning going through YouTube but couldn’t find a similar case. So I finally opened up the drive and found that the top platter was spotless. The heads seemed in alignment and in their place.

Can someone please guide?
