Hello i have a SN850X 2TB plugged in my PCIE 1x slot using a converter the disk is not showing up on the WD dashboard and in disk manager its showing up as 2 seperate disks and missing a lot of storage please help because i seriously dont know how to fix it.
The issue seems to be caused by either the PCIe converter or the way the SSD is connected. First, ensure the PCIe converter supports NVMe SSDs like the SN850X, as an incompatible converter can cause problems.
Next, try removing the SSD, cleaning its contacts gently, and securely reconnecting it. Update your motherboard’s BIOS, PCIe slot drivers, and WD Dashboard software to their latest versions.
If possible, connect the SSD directly to an M.2 slot on your motherboard to check if the converter is the issue. In Disk Management, delete the two unallocated partitions shown and create a single new partition to utilize the SSD’s full capacity.
