SkyDrive very slow

I don’t know if Microsoft is throttling SanDisk Memory Zone or not, but my wife is getting extremely slow uploads to SkyDrive.

My 1.66GB backup finished after 12.5 hours, while my wifes backup has been running for 2-1/2 days now and the progress bar is only around the 20% point.

Our internet is working just fine and the SpeedTest.net app shows our upload speed to be 1009KB/sec.

I am sure the change from SkyDrive to OneDrive would have improved the performance. If you’re a OneDrive user, sync a lot of data, and on a slow or metered network connection, you can set limits to lower speeds to improve performance.

1.Right-click the OneDrive icon on the taskbar and select Settings.

2.On theNetwork tab, you can change the upload and download rates

3.Click OK when you’re done to save the changes.

The upgrade from SkyDrive to OneDrive should have solved it. Nonetheless, if you are facing the issue with OveDrive, right click the icon, and change the upload and download speed in settings.
