Should I keep my WD passport connected to my laptop all time?

Hello,

Recently I’ve bought a new WD my passport 1TB HDD from Virgin Megastore, but now I need to make sure I’m not using my WD passport the wrong way.

I want to know If should I keep my device connected by USB to my laptop all the time, to sync any files that are being modified from the backup locations? Because I’m a Web designer and I’m normally working on so much different files at once every day.

Or should connect my device only when I need to backup my modified files?

That depends on you, in case you leave it connected the passport will just go into sleep mode.
