Selective Back Up

I’m not too sure if this is the correct place to post this question…

However, I was wondering if it was at all possible to ONLY backup a select few folders? I’m wanting to backup my photography, and only my photography (i.e., photo’s I have taken with my camera). Using the WD SmartWare software, it lets me backup image files from my computer, however this is not what I’d like: I have many picture files on my computer but I bought an external drive specifically for my photography.

Any suggestions? Should I simply drag and drop files via My Computer?
