Sansa m250 driver not installing

I have Windows 7. I connect player and shows downloading driver. After a minute it shows drive install failed. I’ve tried downloading from SanDisk but updater doesn’t recognize player. what could be causing this.

Is your player in MSC mode (Settings)?

Theres no driver for the M250. If you have working USB hardware, and its in MSC mode, it will just work with your PC like a hard drive or flash drive.
