Retreiving files to a different PC

Hi

My HP G62 laptop has failed and  WD Smartware is used to back up on the auto process. I have only lost a few music  files, so not the end of world.

I also have a desk top not using WD Smartware and want to do;

  1. retrieve some files to this machine

  2. restore all files to a new lap lop.

I recall a smartware update in last few weeks so think the back up on my passport is on the latest version of smartware.

How can i do this in simple steps?

I’m not sure which version of SmartWare you are using, but this might help you do a restore of your files to your desktop.
