I have a set of 4x SanDisk SSD Plus 1000Gb UH51 drives in a NAS which has been working pretty well as a RAID5 setup for quite a while - somewhere between 18 and 24 months.
SSDs in this application is overkill, but I wanted reliability via no moving parts.

I’ve just started getting some read/write errors reported, along with unexplained drive disconnects. SMART says the drive is good, but the problem persists.

Are there firmware updates or something to fix this?
Obviously, they’re not in Windows, Mac or Linux so I wouldn’t have been notified.
(The NAS runs an embedded Linux).

I have raised an RMA request, but it’s taking a while to get a response back.

Presumably everything is delayed by Brexit/Covid/Easter.
