Ok so I bought a macbook pro last week and had an old wd portable hardrive. Last time I tried it on my old pc it didnt work. Now when i plugg it in. It makes no sound and white light stays on. Is it broken beyond repair? Any way I Can get the stuff off it for free. Not fussed Just wanted to see whats on it. It is also making a clicking sound. Is this the click of death?

If you were using the drive on a PC, my recommendation, is to connect the drive to a PC to see if you can test the drive using the DLG tool.
Please note that if you were using the drive on a Windows PC, you might need to format the drive to use it on a Mac and that will erase all the information on the unit.
