Playing videos from HD has delays with newest firmware

I’ve updated the Smartware on my Passwort 0730 (USB 3.0) to 3.1.5.4 and the firmware to 1.5.1.6.  When I first got the drive, I could watch all of my videos from the drive perfectly but since the updates, now the videos spause for 5+ seconds here and there.

  1. Is this a known issue? If so, is there a fix and/or work-around?

  2. I’m presuming if I could revest the software and firmware everything would be back to normal so if this is possible,is it a matter of reinstalling the old software/firmware or do I have to do something else?

This issue happens with all the videos or with a specific file type?

It happens with all video file types I use with the Microsoft Media Player and FLV Player: AVI, WMV, AVI, FLV, and MOV.

How full is the drive and have you tried defragging it?
