Player loses its place

when I am playing a long file, I often turn off the player and when I turn the player back on, it has lost its place and returns to the music root directory.  Never had this problem with my older sandisk player which would keep its place in the file that was playing

Am I doing something wrong or is this a useless improvement with the newer players

when you navigate back to the file you should get an option to resume or start over if the file is in the podcast or audiobook folder.
