I have been using a 1tb Passport Ultra for a number of years on my MS Surface Pro4 to store locally my digital pictures. Recently the Passport stopped being recognized by Windows10. File manager couldn’t find it even though I would get a notification chime when I plug the passport into the USB port. I tried Disk manager and it showed a drive with the error message “unknown drive, failed to initialize”
This all happened after a Windows automatic update.
Anybody got any ideas or a similar event?
