Old MyBook 1Tb USB2.0

Dear wise users,
I have an old MyBook bought for around 2009-2010. It’s still working now since my wife accidentally broke the usb port. When I have it open and sent the control board to some local stores if they could fix it but impossible, they could not have the port sealed again. Yes, now I cannot communicate with the drive anymore.
No surrender, I plugged the drive directly into my pc but it showed unallocated. I tried using MiniTool Partition Wizard and MiniTool Power Data Recovery but no result. I presume that the software cannot help because I have set up password protected the drive?
I want to ask for any help with this, In the Book are all of my daughter pictures that no way I get lost for such stupid problem.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, you have a a hardware-encrypted WD My Book based on the year of purchase. The unit was designed with security as a priority, and as such taking the unit off the enclosure will not allow it to be recognized in a system.

I’d recommend contacting a professional data recovery service company.

You need to check if there is the problem with the usb port. When you pluge hard drive into the pc, it showed unallocated, which means there is wrong with your hard drive. Maybe it didn’t connect successfully.

MiniTool Partition Wizard can scan the hard drive if it connect to your pc. If you haven’t do anything with the pc, so this is the problem with the hardware.
