Old Model WD5000H1U-00 just flashes blue light won't turn on

Have older model WD5000H1U-00 and just flashes the blue light no matter what we tried. Has our pics on from 2006 on and really need to retrieve. Tried several times years ago with no success from WD. Any advice? Can’t lose the pics

Hello there,

Have you tried to USe the drive on a different computer, or perhaps a different USB cable? Also try to see if connecting the power adapter directly to the wall outlet helps.
