i am using the cable that came with my passport. i also tried connecting it to my brother’s laptop; it was not detected. His 1 TB passport is being detected by my laptop using my cable as well. i am not using any usb hubs.
i personally think there is some problem with the devivce itself. cable has been checked and is working fine with other passports. other passports are being detected on mine.
my bro brought it as a gift from saudi. i think he will have to take it back to reclaim warranty.
any advice/ non-destructive troubleshooting tips will be highly appreciated
