Hi, people. I bought a new Dell laptop and plugged in the WD Passport to back-up everything I saved and there was no problem - it recognised MyPassport, took me through the Set-up and backed up the files.
However, I need to return the laptop so I plugged the Passport into my old laptop again - it recognised it and opened it okay - and I manually copied the saved files from the new laptop folder on MyPassport onto my old laptop. However, the Passport is not automatically backing up these new files onto the Passport (in the old laptop folder). I cannot seem to find the place where you instruct it to back-up files, which I’m assuming was overridden by the use of the new laptop.
Do I need to manually copy and paste the transferred files into the old laptop folder on MyPassport?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I appear to have solved it myself. The icon near the time display, bottom right of the computer, allows me to do it. Thanks for reading.
