Network drives

Hello all,

I have just purchased and installed a 1.5Tb MY Book Essential, hoping to backup data on a network drive (Linux). The WD Smartware software wont recognize any of the network drives (mapped in Win7) that I have.

Have I missed something? Is there a work around?

Just for you to know, SmartWare will only recognize the drive that it comes on, to back up to. SmartWare won’t back to a network drive or from a network drive.
