Need to set up password on a WD portable drive.
HELP says “use the WD security application to create a password”.
Where do I find it?
It does not seem to exist.
Verrrrrrrrrry frustrating.
Maybe it was on the drive when new, but if you formatted the drive all that stuff is gone.
Which portable drive do you have?

Sorry if I sound a little like a dinosaur. I used to write my own software in the early days (1972-1975) of computers, but now I find that deciphering the menus is unnecessarily complicated.
The unit is marked:
WD
My Passport.
It is 1.8TB
