Need major help!

i recently started watching hd movies (720p & 1080p) so i reformatted my drive so i can start to transfer these large files but the green bar just stop not even 1 inch into the transfer every thing just freezes is it time for a new drive? i have a extended warranty on it

i have a passport external hd i purchased about 2 and a half  years ago 320gb

If you formatted FAT32 the largest file size it will take is 4 gig.
