My WD My book essential 1TB not found by autoplay

I woke up one morning to find my coputer in a mess, my Mybook had a single light flashing, hovering over icon it said used 0% locked NO (which it was not) and temp OK.My computer finds H: as it was kinown to me, but it now says WD smartware , it used to say mybook or something like that. When i right click on H: it says capacity 644MB used cacity 644MB.If i go to Device manager and look for it under usb port that says mass storage device it finds mybook 1110 and says location 0.If i go up and look in disc drives it also finds it and when i go to volumes…its blank but when i ask it to populate it shows 953198MB.when i go through to computer management it finds it also, it says its idle and usage new.i have tried putting on another computer and it loads to the point of finding drive and says unexpected error was found and will now exit.same when i do it again on this computer.I have had it come up in WD smartware that there are no writable partitions found.i am at a loss.I did a disc clean up on both drives the day before as well as a defrag on my main drive, i wonder if i errased the link between the info and the drives, the 950 gig shows up under I: now and the H: only has the 644 MB files.Under disc drives in disc manager i have three, but should only have 2.I have a fuji card reader showing up twice, once in location 1 and the other in location 0, the same place as my Mybook is…does this mean anything?any help would be appreciated.

First release of My Book drives +Smartware includes a virtual CD that shows as an additional letter, than contains documentation and installation files . It sounds that your drive has failed, you may confirm this by running a diagnostic: http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/940/session/L3RpbWUvMTMyNzA3Nzk0NC9zaWQvY004ZnJET2s%3D
