My Passport® Wireless Pro SD card file transfer software and Windows 10

I am having a major issue with the way files are treated when copying them from an SD card to the Passport.
The file structure created is a mess. The whole SD card structure is buried beneath a Passport folder structure, and it takes a lot of unnecessary efforts to get the photo and video files properly structured after just copying them over to a Windows 10 PC.

I found another way using Windows 10 Photos app for importing the files directly from the Passport. Unfortunately that creates another mess with tons of new unnecessary files created during that import process. It creates such a mess it is even less useful than the direct copy effort.

And than I used the same Photos app but not with the Passport but directly from the SD card with a card reader. That created a clean folder structure with just the video and photo files.

Why does the passport create such a mess when a simple reader can do the job so much better?

At least WD should provide the Passport with the OPTION to create a simple SD card reader copy.
Than the user would be able to decide whether he wants to have an exact copy of the SD card file structure, or a copy that can be handled as easy as the proprietary card readers for cameras or software apps like Windows Photos provide.
