My Passport problem

I was very pleased with My Passport ext. hard drive until end of september. Unfortunately a month ago, when i tried to copy data from “My Passport”  to an another HDD it freezed. I got error mes. “can’t read data” or something similari.
I can’t run WD Drive Utilities softver on this HDD because it can’t see it. However the HD sentinel says there is 18 bad sector on the external HDD.
I just saved all my data from it. It took ~20 days for me to save everything, because the HDD stopped a lot of times during the process.

I have an another My Passport wich is working perfectly with the same laptop.

The warranty ended at oktober 2nd. What can i do now.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
