Hi just got a My Passport the other day. Everything seems to be working fine on my new macbook, however I’m trying to retrieve some older files off of a 2006 macbook with snow leopard installed. The drive doesn’t show up anywhere. I’ve been reading up and the most likely cause I’m guessing would be a power issue. the usb hub seems to have the same bus speed as my 2011 macbook though. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

If that is a MacBook pro, most likely you have a power issue…
You will be able to fix that with a USB power booster cable.
You might need to contact WD support to get that cable.
