My Passport for Mac and Time Machine - Seem to be stuck on PREPARING BACKUP

Hi,

Just bought My Passport for MAC 3.0. I tried to run the Time Machine to backup but it seems like it got stuck forever saying “Preparing Backup”!

I have a Macbook Pro 13" with OS X Mavericks.

Kindly help.

Hello, try running a test using Disk Utility to rule out any possible hardware damage. Check the links below for more information.
