My Passport 500 gb is not showing up in any system

history:
1- the original Passport 5oo gb for PC, running on WIN 8 with all the original software and protection, worked fine.
2- switching to MAC the Passport was formatted on the MAC with MS-DOS (FAT) just to be able to read it in any system. there was no protection installed and activated.
3- all my historic fotos were copied to the Passport 500 gb.
4- for a wile I was able to make changes to the files. new, copy, editing, delete, everything was working.
situation
a- I have two other Passport, 2 tb and 2 tb ultra, for fotos and videos and was updating the Firmware and downloading other WD software to make shure that all is running perfect. everything is ok. I don’t use protection
b- connecting the Passport 500 gb the WD programs came up with the following messages: see images: I tried sir WIN 10 and MAC Sierra

question
is there any hope to recover my files?
thanks in advance for your opinion

new question
how can I unlock a Passport which is not showing up and does not appear in the security window?

I’m having trouble accessing my My Passport also. It was working fine yesterday, my macbook pro did an update, and now it won’t recognize or mount it.

a very nice new question
how can I unlock a not protected Passport which does not want to mount or show up?

Is your hard drive visible in Disk Utility?

No

Your drive has failed. There exist slim chances of repairing it and recovering files from it. I am sharing some ‘how-to’. You can try the tips if you have the capability.

  1. Target Disk Mode
Using a firewire cable connect your troubled Mac to a running Mac. Read about TDM Transfer files between two Mac computers using target disk mode - Apple Support

  2. No clicking sound?
If your drive is producing no clicking, buzzing or grinding noise then you can safely extract it out and try putting it in an enclosure.

  3. Data Recovery
Sometimes all tips and hacks fail to work. You should start looking for a data recovery software. I recommend Stellar Phoenix for Mac for a drive that is readable by Disk Utility. Else, look for a reasonable recovery service to get back files.
