My Book has not backed up files for over a week

I purchased a 3 TB My Book to replace another company’s backup drive. It was installed on 02/15 and has not backed up any files since 03/07. I cannot open WD Backup, but I can view files on My Book using Windows Explorer

System: Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit), all updates installed; Avast Internet Security (paid); Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (free); SpywareBlaster (free).

Things performed to resolve issue:

  1. Confirmed that WDDriveService and WD Backup Drive Helper services are running
  2. Ran WD Drive Utilities to verify there are no problems with My Book drive
  3. Uninstalled and re-installed WD Backup, WD Security, and WD Drive Utilities as Administrator
  4. Ran the Windows Fix It tool and System File Checker. They found no errors.

I am looking for other suggestions.
