Last night I switched off my computer and it shut down normally. This morning at switch on the My Book power light came on but the capacity column light did not and the icon no longer appeared on the task bar. I now find that it is not backing up changes I make to documents.
I can’t find the software (Smartware) anywhere on my computer or on the external drive – where do I look please and what is it called?

Hi there, is your drive on disk management? (Right-click computer/my computer> manage> disk management) If it’s there then what info is shown? A blue bar? A black box? Healthy? Unallocated? Raw? Is it not there at all?
