I could not find a way to contact WD Support by email because it kept saying Error: Product Value Required. I had selected my specific Model #, but after trying different reasons for contacting and all failed I decided to try the community site.
I have a My Book 3TB Model WDBFJK0030HBK-NESN and want to do a mirror image of my “C” Drive and am wondering if I can do that on my drive?
Also, on the support email form they ask for the Firmware. What exactly are they asking for?
If you are trying to use Smartware it won’t do a system image. Windows 7 and Windows 8 will but the relability isn’t the greatest. Acronis True Image is very good and has a try and buy version. I think the trial is for 30 days.
They are asking for the revision number of the firmware on the drive. I don’t have a drive handy now so I am not sure where to look for the firmware revision nunber off hand.
