Memory Zone not recognizing usb dual drive (usb c) - iOS

I just bought a sandisk dual drive go usb c drive, and what made me go with sandisk even more was the memory zone app that seemed to be just what i was looking for.

After installing the app and connecting the usb drive, it doesn’t recognize it. I tried rebooting the phone, close all apps and open just memory zone, leave the drive connected for a while, install and reinstall. Nothing. Tried on an android phone, same thing.
The flash drive does show up on a computer and on the files app on iOS, but the app just doenst recognize it.

Did i get a faulty drive?

I have checked the articles and help section here but with no luck. It doesn’t work on the ios app and android app

@john323 can you see the USB-C drive in the native Android or iOS Files App?

I did. It shows up on the files app in ios, on windows explorer but strangely not on android file app.
I tried formatting the drive in exFAT and also in FAT32 with a software that allows for bigger flash drives to be formatted in FAT32. Nothing worked with making the flash drive detectable on android and on the sandisk on ios or android.
I ended up formatting it back to exFAT as that seems to be the better option for flash drives over 64gb.

I have been able to transfer files to the flash drive with the files app on iOS, but i wanted the convenience and extra features of the sandisk memory zone app and also to be sure that the drive is not defective.

The drive is detected on computer and files app, so the drive is good.
If you have tried all the steps in these two kbas
