MBP Cannot repair my mac partition of my WD PP 1TB 2nd time it has happened any fixes?

Hi there

Ok so here’s the deal I have a WD PP 1TB and  a MacBookPro (MBP) mid 2009. When I first got it I formatted it so the whole thing was just for my mac, it crashed told me to grab my stuff off the drive and erase and re-format so I did this time I re-formatted it so I had half as a pc/mac partition and the other one a mac solely for the purpose of using Time Machine. Now the Mac partition of the HD has crashed. It was not even showing up on my computer when I would plug in only the Dual partition showed up. So disk utility it was, pressed repair and woke up this morning to it telling me it cannot repair the disk. Ugh so the problem I have now is that all my time machine backups can only be put onto my desktop, not sure if that will even work? But right now my MBP is more reliable then my backup HD. Are WD PP known to have trouble with macs? Is there a more permanent solution to this problem (other then buying a new HD)? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thank you in advanced for any advice!

I do not think that your drive is faulty, since you can still access your FAT32 partition.  Your Mac partition might be corrupted to a point that cannot be repaired by Disk Utility, you may try using a data recovery software and reformat it.

Hi littles,

I got to know about your problem as you mentioned in the content. You have problem with Mac partition. You need Mac partition recovery software to get back your lost partition on your desktop. i had simialr problem on my Mac and later hopefully got third party software to recover my lost partition on my Mac. You can download free demo version of software and your lost partition.
