I have the 2 TB Extreme Pro SSD portable drive. I usually name my drives with my full name and email along with a number but I keep getting a pop up that says
“The name XXXXXXXXXXXX name can’t be used.
Try using a name with fewer characters, or with no punctuation marks”
The length of my name and a single digit comes to 19 characters. I have not used any characters other than letters and numbers.
I have a G-Drive Mobile USB-C 2TB drive and do not have a problem naming it with this format. The sandisk is formatted with ExFat and the G-Drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Does this make a difference? Should I format the Sandisk to Mac OS Extended? I am solely using Mac at this time.
I really want to keep my drive name format.
