My MacBook Pro suddenly stopped recognizing the My Book Essential
It’s been working fine up until an hour ago. I think it got disconnected accidentally and when I plugged it back in, the computer won’t recognize it. No where in the computer can I see that I have the external disc connected.
The Essential disc seams to be working properly. The little light is showing stand by when it’s supposed to (disconnected), active (when it’s plugged in). If I turn it off, it won’t turn back on until I plug it into the computer again. All signs that it’s actually working.
For some reason my MacBook Pro has decided not to recognize my external drive after it was accidentally disconnected. It’s not the first time it’s been accidentally disconnected. Since I have a laptop, that happens on occasions.
I can add that I have not done any upgrades or updates to my computer between the time it was working and now when it’s not working.
Any tips to get this to work again?

I can add now that I looked in the disc utility and it shows up there… There is two of them, one says WD My Book 1130 Media and the one below (and slightly to the right) says WD 2TB but that’s kinda faded so I guess that’s not accesable??
