Hello!, I have a WD Elements 1.5 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive model number wdbaau0015hbk-01. Here is the WD web page for the device
http://support.wd.com/product/install.asp?groupid=304&lang=en
but there seem to be no specs to indicate what power supply it needs. I lost mine. And, there are no power specs on the device. I do not have the original box. Please advise on the specs for a replacement power supply.
THANKS!
fantastic. Just to confirm since I have tremendously important data on this drive… can I be 100% sure that these are the correct power specifications for a power adapter for this drive?
12 Volts
1.5 Amps
18 Watts
I can see that the pdf at the bottom of that post lists just the adapters with specs like barrel size which is helpful

But since the drive unit is not labled with power specs and the data sheets do not have those specs either, how are you certain? Are you tapped into a WD internal database? My data was not yet backed up when the adapter was lost and it is important.
Thanks so much
