For some time now I have been unable to access My Passport on my mac. When I plug it in, the light flashes and the WD SmartWare appears on my desktop. I open the WD SmartWare and click the Unlock Drive link. I enter the password and it claims to have unlocked my drive. However, my drive does not appear in Finder as it normally does under devices and I am unable to access the files I have on my drive. I am currently Running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. Any ideas on how to regain access??

Since you are using a password, IGNORE the UNINSTALL WD utilities comment.
