Is my HDD new or not?

Hi,  I just bought a 2 TB My Passport Ultra disk and performed an extended test using WD  Data Lifeguard Diagnostic.

To my surprise, the results were:

Raw Read Error Rate  -  200 Value - 51 Threshold - 200 Worst.

Spin Up Time  -  234 Value -  21 Threshold - 239 Worst.

Re-allocated Sector count - 200 Value - 140 Threshold - 200 Worst.

The rest of the results had 0 threshold.

Is it normal for a brand new External  HDD to have these values?
Could it be possible that I am getting a used HDD when I bought it as new?

I would appreciate if someone could clear this out for me.

Thank you,

Ignbell

algo_mas,

If this unit came on a box-sealed package from an authorized WD Reseller/Store, then it should be a new. These values indicate the device should be replaced under warranty for free if so. If the delivery conditions are not as described or did not come from an authorized representative, then I would recommend returning the device to the place of purchase.

Thank you, I opened a case in WD E-mail support  but got no reply so far.  I will try to contact them through phone.
