Just got the Sansa Fuze. Was wondering if there is any way to turn off the talking feature as I find it more annoying then helpful. Thanks.
This is a new one on me. What ‘talking’ feature?
It has Rockbox loaded on it, so maybe thats what is enabling it. And maybe I should say it “speaks”. When you scroll over a menu listing, it speaks it. Like bookmarks, recordings, music, ect. Any way I can turn off that speaking option??
Go to Settings>General Settings>Voice.
If you have any other questions about Rockbox, manuals can be found at http://www.rockbox.org/manual.shtml. They have forums as well.

Well, that’s the proverbial “horse of a different color” we’ve all heard about!
You might’ve given up this little tid-bit in your 1st post. The Sansa OF (original firmware) does not feature this option.

The voice feature isn’t for everyone. IMO, it sounds surprisingly mechanical or robot-like. (sorry, RB devs). Although it’s very useful for those who need it.
Thanks for the info. I bought it with Rockbox already installed and it took me a while to figure it out.
