How does sound quality of Clip Sport Plus compare to the Clip Sport or Clip Zip/+/original Clip?

Is the Clip Sport Plus on par with Clip Sport, in terms of sound quality? Haven’t been able to learn much about this, yet.

Do the two use the same platform/sound chip?
