How can I connect multiple Extreme Pro USB-C drives to a single USB-C port on Windows PC?

I get work projects sent to me on SanDisk 4TB Extreme PRO Portable SSD drives and I would like to plug them in to my work PC at the same time and show up as different drive letters so I can switch from one to another as my work tasks switch. I know I need a hub of some type for physical connections but there is also the OS side of things so multiple drives seen on a single port and treated as individual drives.

These typically are used one at a time, if you need more get a server hard disk to supplement your storage.

To use multiple SanDisk 4TB Extreme PRO SSDs on a single port:

  1. Use a powered USB hub to ensure enough power for each SSD.

  2. Assign different drive letters in Disk Management if needed.

  3. Format the drives in NTFS.

This setup will let you easily switch between the drives for your tasks.
