Help with my passport ultra

sorry I have no idea if this is where I post this but I can’t seem to figure this site out.

I just bought a ‘my passport ultra’ and have no idea how to use it. I tried reading a user guide BUT doesn’t actually tell me how to use it. 

when I plug it in the file opens and thats it.

how do I use it, how do I store stuff on it, what is the use of this site and WD site mmmm???

How to move or copy files from one hard drive to another in Windows

If you want to use it a backup drive for you computer files then you need to install WD Smartware and then Run a backup.

Check page # 22 of the WD Smartware user’s manual.
