Help with drag and drop?

I have a Macbook Pro and only want to drag and drop picture folders as I choose. When I plug in My Book Essential, it shows up in Finder under devices as does the Smartware. I’ve uninstalled the smartware and then unplugged and replugged the drive and the smartware shows up again. I’ve tried dragging a file over but nothing happens???

Firstable the wd smartware is a Virtual Cd that came with the drive , So the files SHOULD not Be copy to that portion

2nd , the files needs to be copy to the my book side

however you said that you have a my book essential , have you format your my book for you mac already? that drive comes preformatted for windows , if you have not , then use the link below for instructions :)  :
