HELP PLEASE! New My Passport 2TB showing only 32GB capacity

Hi All,

I bought a My Passport 2TB HD about a month ago and up until now, it has shown the correct capacity (~1.82GB which I understand). Today while attempting to transfer files, it now shows 32GB. I thought it may have been an issue with my super old HP so I plugged it into my shiny new Vaio and still shows the same.

Can anyone shed some light on how this happened, if this has happened to them and how I go about resolving this?

So I reformatted the HDD and it looks to be back to normal. Hoping I don’t have to do this every few weeks.

I am still interested to know if anyone else has had this problem and if they solved it by other means?

Was it formated fat32 when you got it.
