Have you considered the possibility that you received a defective unit? I have never had half the problems you are describing. I’d say that if you get another one and you still experience the same exact problems, than there is serious issues with the Fuze+. But I suspect that yours may have been faulty at the outset.
i got the FLAC file you are having issues with this morning and I am having the same issue with it on the Fuze+ it works no issues on my Fuze so I sent the file to sandisk support so they can take a look at it. I did see there is a large amount of text in the cue sheet according to the media info which the Fuze+ may not be able to handle. This is just a guess but sandisk support should be able to find what the issue is and fix it in an upcoming firmware.
I understand you are frustrated but i can tell you from experience if these are not issues they are already aware of and tracking it will be a while before there would be a firmware that can fix it. it takes time to identify the issue provide a fix and test the firmware to ensure nothing was broken in the process. if these are new issues i would say you are likely looking a a few months before a fix would be available.
I contacted Sandisk support via web before I posted here - and now they are asking for the file too.
At least they are showing interest for my problem, which I do appreciate.
And the playlists: is there a problem with # maybe? I created a pl with # seperating albums, to help me keeping track - and of course the player locked up.
that could be the issue take the # and see how it works.
tried it - no luck. Player locks up on loading screen ![]()
And adding 80+ files to the to go playlist (which is not the one in the Playlist folder as I learned today… where is the Fuze+ hiding that one?), is really, really annoying. Doing it the third time now ![]()
same problem with my some flac files. everytime i copy my flac files to fuze+, it shows “loading” and then endless reboot b-(
i can’t stand it anymore, can sandisk supporters fix this prob soon? i want 2 hear my FLAC files, not MP3
I just got mine today and have the same problem with the FLAC files. I’m glad I found this thread, because I was getting so mad I was about to go ahead and send it back…luckily I only have 20 or so .FLAC files, so I just removed them for now…which is kind of a crappy fix. And I don’t want to upload each one individually and see if some work and some don’t…They all worked fine on my sansa e260v2 until it bricked randomly, seems like they would work in a newer product.
write support. Make noise. Maybe they will get off their asses and release some usable firmware soon.
Just tried latest firmware. Nothing has been fixed.
Sandisk is sooo great. I am sooo happy that I wasted my money and time with this POS.
i bought FUZE+ because of its capable to play FLAC files
and now It CAN"T play flac !!!
Solved this problem, Sandisk pls
I’ve ran out of patience =.="
The Fuze+ plays FLAC, 16-bit. Perhaps you can provide a little more information than “it’s broken” and then we can look into it?
One of the most amusing situations for the technician is situations described with the preamble, “it’s doing the same thing”. I am too, drinking my morning coffee. Please, let’s discuss. Open a thread with specifics, and a title that leads others to your concern.

well, support already got the offending file from me.
btw, the offending file is 16bit.
And sandisk.com says ‘supports flac’ not ‘supports 16bit flac only’.
False advertisement?
