Getting rid of SecureAccess

I wan to remove SecureAccess, and all traces of it,  and any other pre-installed software which comes with a new drive and about which we are told nothing.

I had already stored a few things which I wanted to be portable, but have temporarily removed them prior to flushing out everything else.

How, exactly, do I go about removing everything on the drive and starting afresh?

Formatting it would do it in one fell swoop.

Thank you Tapeworm.

How do I do that?

Thank you Tapeworm.

Formatting is not possible on this bloody thing because you get the message ‘disk is write protected’ and there is no way you can remove the protection! I cannot even delete my files!

Have fun, have a lot of time and good luck!

I will never buy this bloody SanDisk thing again!

I bought two ‘16Gb’ Chinese made units. One of them shows 64kb instead of ~16Gb and does not work.

The drive which I wanted to format was also made in China.  I had no trouble doing so at all.

When you buy goods you expect them to be in order, functional, I must have been unlucky to get both of the two items faulty. Even attempt to do low level DOS format did not work.
